Embers

Synopsis

In 1940 Hungary, as Europe is reshaped by war, two men come face to face after thirty-four years apart.

Henrik (Ralph Fiennes) summons Konrad (Viggo Mortensen) back to his castle. Once inseparable, their friendship was forged in loyalty and ambition, and undone by desire and betrayal. A woman stands between them still, her absence as powerful as her presence once was.

What follows is a high-stakes psychological duel, unfolding through memory, and confrontation. They have one night together. The house is sealed. The past is no longer contained.

Unfolding through a battle of words, every revelation shifts the balance, and every pause carries a threat, as the truth moves closer with every word.
