Synopsis
Based on Tim Winton’s best-selling book of the same name, Breath is the epic and exhilarating coming of age story of Bruce Pike (Samson Coulter), a young man trying to find excitement and escape from his small town in 1970s coastal Australia.
Bruce “Pikelet” Pike and his wild best mate Loonie (Ben Spence) spend their days chasing adventure, testing their limits, and seeking escape from small-town life. When they meet Sando (Simon Baker), a charismatic thrill-seeker, their world opens up to the dangers and beauty of big-wave surfing.
As Sando pushes them to the edge, Pikelet becomes drawn to Sando’s enigmatic wife Eva (Elizabeth Debicki), forcing him to confront desire, fear, and what it truly means to become a man.
If you’re not living on the edge, you’re not living at all.
