Sky Arts, Fremantle, Embankment announce Garbo doc

NEWS BRIEF: London-based feature film financer and distributor Embankment Films has started production on Garbo: Leave Me Alone, a feature documentary on the life of Hollywood star Greta Garbo who retired and walked away from show business aged just 35.

Slated for a Winter 2024 theatrical release, and with Fremantle handling worldwide sales, the coproduction with Mylla Films will air on Sky Arts in the UK next year. The doc is from director Lorna Tucker, whose breakthrough debut Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist premiered at Sundance in 2018.
