NOOMI RAPACE TO EP, NARRATE GRETA GARBO BIO-DOC

Swedish actress Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Prometheus) has come aboard as both executive producer and narrator for Embankment Films’ forthcoming documentary on legendary Hollywood star Greta Garbo for Sky Arts.
First announced this past spring, the bio-doc — now titled Garbo: Where Did You Go? — will chronicle how the Swedish-born star (pictured right) rose to worldwide fame in the silent era and successfully made the transition to sound with classics such as Grand Hotel, Queen Christina and Ninotchka, before suddenly retiring at age 35 and never appearing on screen again.
Rapace (pictured left) will narrate the film in Garbo’s own words, drawn from archival sources about her life. The doc will make its theatrical premiere in winter 2024, ahead of its broadcast debut on Sky Arts in the UK next year.
Garbo: Where Did You Go? is produced by Embankment Films, in coproduction with Mylla Films and in partnership with Sky (UK) and NonStop Entertainment (Scandinavia). The director is Lorna Tucker, with Embankment’s Nick Taussig and Sophie Harmer producing. Fremantle is handling worldwide sales.
